“Crazy Community Crocheted Blanket”
Local artist, Pamela Penny (www.pamelapenny.com) has a little crush on Sara’s Inn. It all started when one of our crisis line volunteers wandered into her shop last summer and the two got to talking. Since then Pam has been very supportive of our inclusion into the Oak Park Arts District Business Association calling Sarah’s Inn “a wonderful addition to the neighborhood".
The “Crazy Community Crocheted Blanket” is a lap-sized afghan that was started during the Crazy Crochet class held at Pam’s studio in October during the Oak Park Arts District Arts Retreat (a part of ArtRageous Oak Park!) Thanks to the generosity of Pam and her students this beautiful work of art will be auctioned off with the proceeds going to benefit Sarah’s Inn. Pamela will be taking silent auction bids on the blanket from now until December 18th.
