Adult Survivors Of Domestic Violence
Sarah’s Inn provides support and intervention for the needs and legal rights of survivors of domestic violence. The Sarah’s Inn 24-hour crisis line is a free and confidential resource for safety planning, obtaining comprehensive information about resources, and gaining emotional support when it is needed most. Our support groups improve lives by helping families heal together and obtain self-sufficiency. These groups meet at convenient locations for our clients, often in partnership with hospitals and communities of faith.
Legal advocates at Sarah’s Inn help individuals affected by domestic violence navigate complex legal systems to ensure their protection under the law. If it were not for these advocates, many seeking legal protection from violence would go to court alone, facing many obstacles.
Children And Teens
Millions of children and teens witness domestic violence each year. These children are at a higher risk for emotional, developmental, and health problems. They are also more likely to repeat the cycle of domestic violence in their teen and adult years. Group activities and counseling at Sarah’s Inn change the course of children’s lives and teach skills for expressing emotions in healthy ways.
Men Who Abuse
Sarah's Inn helps stop patterns of violence in relationships by counseling individuals who are ready to change their violent and controlling behavior. Participation is a combination of voluntary and court mandated.
