Volunteer Appreciation Event, 2009
Thank you to those of you who were able to join us for our Volunteer Appreciation Picnic at Garfield Park Field House on Saturday, July 11. We awarded certificates to all of our training graduates from 2009 and honored specific volunteers for their superior level of dedication to Sarah’s Inn.
Crisis Line Volunteer of the Year– Nicole Gleason
Nicole contributed over 500 hours of volunteer service in the past year. She is an exceptionally dependable and professional crisis line volunteer who provides compassionate service and support to all of our crisis line callers. We are thrilled to have Nicole as part of our committed volunteer team.
Volunteer of the Year– Irene Prince
Irene has volunteered at Sarah’s Inn for nearly three years and assists regularly on the crisis line, and also assists with the Partner Abuse Intervention Program and Teen Dating Violence Prevention program. Irene uses her leadership skills, speaking abilities and no-nonsense personality to help educate and train the community and prevent violence. She is a critical piece of our volunteer team and an asset to Sarah’s Inn.
